Our coaches are proud to serve as near-peer mentors for students and understand that every student is unique. They support each student in reaching their full potential. At ACF, our coaches are wizard makers!
The selection process for ACF coaches is rigorous. During onboarding, they receive intensive training in both soft skills and technical skills, and continuous coaching training opportunities are offered to promote their professional growth. Our community coaches consist of college students, industry experts, and trained teachers who inspire one another and the next generation.

2026 Summer Camp Coach
We are looking for college students, professionals, retirees or anyone with a passion to share, to join the education community of teachers! The position is for year-round regular programs and also available for summer camps. If you have passion for the next generation and want to share your knowledge, we have an opportunity for you. ACF offers foundation skilling building classes, advanced startup team classes, tech camps and you will have excellent networking opportunities with other passionate experts and provided with training and growth opportunities. The instructor role is a flexible part-time contractor position. We seek instructors that can commit at least 5 hours of teaching per week. The pay rate is $650 - $1200/ week for full day camp teaching for the in-person classes. If you are interested, please send your resume to career@applied-computing.org - REQUIREMENTS 1. Instructors will use the curriculum and teaching tools developed by ACF. 2. Coaches can customize and add to the curriculum 3. Professionalism to deliver the best quality learning experience is required. 4. Integrity: Coaches should treat all students and parents with respect, and act in accordance to a high standard of ethics. 5. Promote our values and mission, and serve as a role model for kids of all backgrounds and ages. 6. Participation in the coach meeting is mandatory. - QUALIFICATIONS 1. Lego Robotics/ Robotics competition experience required(*Exceptions can be applied after the interview) 2. College-level coursework in computer science/related engineering. 3. Experience working with young students and track record in improving student outcomes. 4. Passion for building interest in problem solving in kids and teenagers (ages 8-18). 5. Teaching a minimum of 5 hours per week 6. Strong communication skills, both in verbal and written. 7. Must be authorized to work in the US and perform work in the US. 8. Must pass background check - BENEFITS 1. Comprehensive Training: Coaches receive extensive on-the-job training in class management, communication, leadership, and technical skills specific to the ACF program. 2. Free ACF Classes: Coaches can participate in ACF classes at no cost. Family Discounts: Immediate family members of coaches are eligible for discounts on ACF & Lettuce.Build programs.. 3. Career Advancement Opportunities: Coaches can apply for the Startup Coach Training Program and other senior coaching roles. 4. 2026 AI Entrepreneurship Curriculum Intern (Remote / Tanzania-Focused)
Location: Remote (strong preference for candidates familiar with Tanzania) Duration: 4–8 weeks (part-time or full-time flexible, ~10–20 hours/week) Compensation: Unpaid internship Start Date: Immediate / Flexible (target August/September 2026) About the Project We are developing an innovative, beginner-friendly curriculum to help Tanzanian entrepreneurs (especially first-time business owners) use free and low-cost AI tools to ideate, launch, and operate businesses efficiently. The program emphasizes cost-consciousness due to data and internet constraints in Tanzania, focusing on practical applications for core business functions like planning, websites, marketing, customer service, accounting, and operations.A central sample project is launching a local travel agency (e.g., sustainable safaris, cultural tours, Zanzibar packages) while navigating Tanzanian regulations (e.g., Tourism Act requirements for 100% local ownership and licensing via MNRT portal).The curriculum will include 8–10 modules, hands-on prompts, templates, low-data tips, and a capstone project. It will be practical, actionable, and designed for complete AI beginners. Role Overview As our Curriculum Development Intern, you will lead the creation of this full curriculum. You will research, structure, write, and refine materials while gaining deep expertise in AI applications for small businesses in emerging markets. You will also do pilot run of the curriculum for feedback to professionals. Key Responsibilities - Research and expand on AI tools (free tiers of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Canva, Wix AI/Framer, Wave Accounting, Tidio chatbots, Zapier, etc.) suitable for Tanzanian users. - Develop the full curriculum outline (modules on AI basics, idea validation, business planning & licensing, website/online presence, marketing, customer service, operations, finance, scaling). - Create detailed module content: learning objectives, explanations, step-by-step guides, ready-to-use prompt templates, exercises, and Tanzania-specific examples tied to the travel agency project. - Incorporate cost comparisons (AI vs. hiring), low-internet/data-saving strategies, regulatory info (e.g., BRELA, TIN, TALA/MNRT licensing), and financial ROI examples. - Design practical outputs, checklists, templates, and a capstone project. Ensure content is beginner-friendly, culturally relevant, and mobile-first. - Optionally: Expand research into a publishable article, case study, or blog post (e.g., “How Tanzanian Entrepreneurs Can Launch Businesses with Free AI in 2026”) — we encourage and support this for your portfolio or academic credit. Requirements Current student or recent graduate (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Education, Business, Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Computer Science, Communications, or related field. Strong English writing skills (clear, engaging, instructional tone). Basic familiarity with AI tools Interest in entrepreneurship, small business in Africa/Tanzania, and/or tourism sector. Excellent research skills (able to verify regulations, tools, and market data). Self-motivated with good time management for remote work. Access to reliable internet for research and collaboration (we prioritize efficiency).
