ACF 2024 Bay Area Summer Camps

Basic Information

  • all camps are held in-person

  • all camps are a duration of 1 week (Mon-Fri)

  • most camps are full day 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

  • select few camps are half day 9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 1:00pm - 4:00 pm

Extended Care Available

  • before camp from 8:30 am - 9:00 am

  • after camp from 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

UPDATE: based on your feedback, we have extended our after-camp extended care hours from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

eg) TK / K are able to sign up for Junior Lego Robotics as long as they have a passion for Lego and can follow teacher instructions!

Design & Entrepreneurship (D&E)

Our D&E series prepares your student for 

 

Design and entrepreneurship complement STEM disciplines by fostering creativity, collaboration, and user-centric innovation, ultimately leading to more impactful solutions to complex challenges. 

​

combines practice of design tools (2D Wireframing and 3D Modeling) with business and entrepreneurial skills

Both camps will culminate in a business pitching competition on the last day.

FAQ

What are the prerequisites? Does my student need prior coding knowledge?

Pre-requisites can be viewed above in the Camp Offerings section.

Can I sign up for multiple weeks of the same camp? I don't want to sign them up for multiple weeks if the curriculum is the same.

​Yes! ACF's curriculum is designed to progressively build upon students' experience and understanding week by week. As our lesson plan is project-based, we can easily individualize the learning experience for each student. We assess each student on the first day of the camp and customize the lessons for them.

​

If you have certain goals in mind for your student, please let us know. We will work with you to accomplish them.

 

Even for the same camp, we have unique curriculum every week so that returning students can stay engaged! You can view the week-by-week differences in our Camp Offerings section.

​

Learning at ACF is always personalized. If you are interested in signing up for multiple camps, we are more than happy to help you with the right sequence of camps for your student.

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

​We do not.

​

When is the registration deadline?

Our camps are open registration, with no deadline. Register any time before the start of camp.

​

What is the class size? What is the student to teacher ratio?

On average, class size is 8 - 12 students. The student to teacher ratio is about 5 to 1.

What opportunities or pathways does ACF provide after summer camp?

​Check Camp Offerings section for our many post-camp opportunities. Our summer camps are not just a one-time experience, but rather a launchpad for further learning. We are happy to discuss how ACF's offerings fit into your student's learning in the long-term.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Camp can be cancelled prior to start with a $45 processing fee deduction. 

After camp starts, camper can be transferred to other programs but no refund is permitted. Camp credit will be given for the prorated amount.
